Well over 350 boats showed up to celebrate the end of school and beginning of summer on Memorial Day weekend at the annual White Trash Bash at Dog Island off the coast of Carrabelle Sunday May 27, 2007. Memorial Day weekend and the White Trash Bash at Dog Island off the coast of Carrabelle kicked off the celebration of the end of school and beginning of summer Sunday May 27, 2007. A multi-agency law enforcement yielded 40 officers patrolling the island, water and highway during the event which resulted in 10 arrest for boating under the influence and another 10 citations for safety violations.
