Composer and beloved Florida State University professor of music, Thomas G. "Tommie" Wright, gives the commencement address and plays the FSU Fight Song, which he wrote, at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee, FL August 11, 2012. Wright was conferred the Honorary Degree Doctor of Music.
