82 year old radio sportscaster Walter Lanier "Red" Barber with his wife at their home in Tallahassee, Florida August 18, 1990. Barber passed away two years later. Barber became an icon broadcasting the play by play for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees professional baseball teams becoming known for this southern catchphrases. Red Barber's wife's name is Lylah. In his final years he did a weekly radio show from his home for NPR.
