A man tries to start his boat with a generator abord to take to his home as Hurricane Georges comes ashore in Biloxi along the Mississippi coast September 28, 1998. Georges made six landfalls through the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico before making it's 7th and final landfall near Biloxi. 604 people were killed mostly in Dominican Republic and haiti. Because of the extensive damage, the name Georges was retired and will never be used again.
